Where is Sweet Synergy - The Cake Truffle Company located?
We are based out of Raleigh, NC. All cakes are baked from a home kitchen which has been inspected and approved by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Food and Drug Protection Division.
What is your order turnaround time?
We have a 48 hour turn-around time for all orders under 50 cake truffles. For orders over 50, please contact us at 919-295-2809 before placing order.
What size are Cake and /or Pop Truffles?
Our cake truffles and cake truffle pops are about 1 inch round to 1.25 in size. They are a perfect size for those two delicious bites of perfection.
How long can I store Cake & Pop Truffles?
Our Truffles can be stored up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator and up to 3 months in an airtight container. However, because of the chocolate coating, our truffles have a much longer shelf life than a regular cupcake.
How & where can I store my Cake &/or Pop Truffles?
It's important to refrigerate them upon arrival so they stay fresh. We preferably suggest storing the cake truffles in an air tight container in the refrigerator. Be sure to thaw to room temperature before serving. Although some do prefer to eat them at room temperature, we recommend refrigeration if you will be going more than a day before serving. Our Truffles are best served slightly chilled. Cake truffles have a shelf life of a few days at room temperature and can last more than two weeks when refrigerated. We do not advise freezing cake truffles.
Do we deliver these homemade Cake &/or Pop Truffles?
Yes, we are proud to deliver our truffles. We deliver to Wake, Johnston, RTP/Durham, and Chapel Hill. There is a flat delivery rate of $10. Any traveling outside of these areas will be based on mileage. Do we ship?
To ensure the highest quality of our product, we do not offer ground shipping. All of our Cake Truffles and Truffle Pops are shipped via USPS nationwide. All shipping options will be presented to you for you to select prior to finishing checkout. We take exceptional care in shipping your cake truffles and truffle pops to ensure they arrive in perfect condition every time. It is critical to us that all of our cake truffles have the same amazing flavor and freshness if you buy them right here in Raleigh or have them shipped to Florida or Alaska. During the summer months (June through August), only two-day shipping and overnight shipping are available. All orders shipped especially in the warmer climate areas (such as Florida, California, etc.) will include a reusable gel pack to help protect the Cake Truffles and Pops from rising temperatures during the shipping process. It will be included in the shipping prices.
Sweet Synergy ship out Monday through Thursday only (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shipping is not available). Sweet Synergy ships to physical addresses within all 50 states.
Sweet Synergy cannot guarantee delivery on a specific date or time (including overnight packages). Please note that shipping vendors have different policies depending on the U.S. location. Please make sure you are aware of any specific delivery policies at your shipping destination that may affect the arrival of your order. Additionally, Sweet Synergy is not responsible for any shipping delays, including those resulting from inclement weather.
What do I need to know about allergens?
Cake truffles are either possibly exposed to or contain wheat, eggs, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, and soy.
At this time, we accept Visa or MasterCard via Square or PayPal. You may also pay with your bank account via the IPN link located on your invoice. We also accept cash and checks. Please make checks payable to Sweet Synergy. All returned checks will incur a fee of $25. Charges will be added to your invoice and mailed to you directly. All future orders must be paid with cash or credit card.
Do you charge taxes?
North Carolina has a use tax, which applies to all out-of-state purchases of tangible personal property that would be subject to the sales tax if purchased in North Carolina. The tax rate is 6.75%.
When are we open?
Our hours of operation (Eastern Standard Time) are:
Tuesday - Friday: 6pm to 11:00pm
Saturday: 9am to 2pm
Sunday and Monday: Closed (we do ship on Mondays)

Do you provide Homemade Cake Truffles for weddings?
Yes. We'd be happy to meet with the happy couple to discuss how we can create a homemade Cake Truffle that would be unique for this occasion. You can also display cake truffles as a wedding cake or serve buffet style. In addition, they make great wedding favors. We are happy to help you coordinate themes, give color ideas and add suggestions for packaging to make your special day fit your personality.
Do you do large quantities for events and provide client gifts?
Yes. Homemade cake truffles are great desserts for large functions and make lovely gifts for clients. (Corporate Gift Guide will be coming soon).
